Feelings

         Opening Prayer

First: please distribute pieces of paper where there are written different feelings on each of them. These feelings need to be both positive and negative.

Here are some suggestions for this activity: forgiveness, patience, harmony, trust, study, gratitude, happiness, good-humour, sensibility, education, loyalty, enthusiasm, kindness, peace, love, responsibility, faith, humbleness, simplicity, cooperation, prayer, work, respect, calmness, courage, sincerity, justice, honesty, anger, sadness, injustice, hate, bad-humour, lie, laziness, fight, distrust, war, deception, pride, selfishness, hate, pessimism.

Second: please draw a big heart at the school panel. You could also draw it in board-paper since later the feelings will be placed inside this heart. Please explain to the children they need to split the good from the bad feelings, amonst the pieces of paper they have just received. Each child will need to give one positive feeling to the spiritist teacher. The teacher will then place it in the panel, in order to form a big heart with all the pieces of paper given by them. Please use all positive feelings in this activity. The ones that are left should be glued outside the heart. As soon as the children give each feeling to the spiritist teacher, please comment on them. You could give them an example of how an attitude shows this specific feeling.

Obs.: after this activity is completed, the panel should be raffled amost the children or glued at the spiritist centre. You could write down a phrase related to this lesson and the cycle which was involved in this activity.

Third: please explain to the children we need to cultivate these good feelings in our hearts and practice them within our daily attitudes.

Fourth: please ask them where we can keep or pace the bad feelings (the pieces of paper that are left over). The children’s answer should be in the bin. Please ask each child to place one negative feeling each in the bin. Please repeat this with each child until all pieces of paper are placed in the bin.

Fifth: it is time to play the game "Bingo of Feelings" (please use only positive feelings for this activity). You will be able to find the instructions at the following link "Bingo". Please make sure you read the important notes which are displayed with this activity.
