Human Beings: The children of God - Kindergarten

         First: Welcome the children into the session. Say how happy we are to see them and how important they are for the class. Explain we will follow the letters of the alphabet in order to choose the volunteer for the opening prayer. So, the child’s name that starts with the letter A will do the opening prayer this time. Everybody will have the chance to collaborate as the weeks passed by.

         After that, the Spiritist worker will introduce the “Raffle Box of Prayers”. In your turn, each child will open the box, choose one prayer and read it loudly for whole class. We will do it until all the kids have their chance to choose and read a prayer.

         When the activity with the “Raffle box of Prayers” finishes the volunteer will collect the booklet “The Lord’s Prayer” with the children who was responsible in the previous week.

         The volunteer can make up a few questions, such as:

         * What did you most like in this prayer;

         * What could you learn during the week with the prayer and others

         The child can also read the prayer for his/hers colleagues. Another child will be able to choose himself/herself to take the booklet home and bring next week, at the end of this activity.

         The Lord’s Prayer booklet

         P.S. At the end of the class the parents will be informed and also asked about their availability to bring the booklet next week.

         Second: Prayer Activity - The volunteer will discuss with the children about the prayer: “Prayer to Jesus” from the book LEARNING HOW TO PRAY - A BOOK OF PRAYERS FOR CHILDREN by Elsa Rossi. Each one will also receive a copy of the prayer.
         Prayer to Jesus

         My dad calls you our special brother which I think is lovely.
         I am very happy child because I know that you live in my heart.
         I've learned that you are the greatest example of love that we have on Earth.
         I want you to know, my dear Jesus, that I always think of you and don't want you to be sad about anything; that's why I am a child who wants to learn to love everyone in your name.
         Thank you for loving us so much, Jesus!

         Third: GPrepare music instrument with recycled materials. We will all sing the following songs afterwards:

         Jesus is my best friend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tER4Jx6LyZk

         Jesus love is very wonderful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaMVjO_GruA

         Fourth: Introduction to the topic - Activity: Guess what?

         This activity introduces the idea that God created all of us, nature, all the animals etc. The volunteer will organise the children in a semicircle and bring several drawings of things from nature, animals, people, etc... that they will have to guess. The volunteer will ask them several questions or do some mimics related to each drawing, so the children can find out each one of them. For example: the volunteer can ask what is the yellow bright circle in the sky that we see on sunny days? The sun! Each child will have her/his turn to attach the drawing on the wall to create a very beautiful picture of nature. When the picture is ready, the volunteer will ask them who created everything: God.

         Fifth: Story time

         Sixth: Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaPChCpphU4

         Seventh: Activity - Prepare a cord with some pictures from the video.

         Eighth: Learning how to share: The volunteer will bring a big box and all the kids should put the previous activity inside. Each one at your turn, would wear a “magic glove” and choose one work from the box and offer it to one colleague at the room.

         Ninth: Healing Theatre - Prepare the kids for the healing time. The volunteer will bring the following words:

         * Healing Time
         * Spirits Benefactors
         * Good energy
         * Be quiet
         The children should answer what those words mean and explain the relation with what happen upstairs during the healing therapy. After, two chairs will put at the centre of the room and two children at each time would show how we should behave during the healing time. After, the volunteer will offer one sticker (green tick) for each child. Everyone will have a chance to participate.

         Ninth: Closing prayer - One of the children will do a closing prayer. Explain we will follow the letters of the alphabet in order to choose the volunteer for the closing prayer. So, the child’s name that starts with the letter B will do the opening prayer this time. Everybody will have the chance to collaborate as the weeks passed by.
