Opening Prayer
First: begin the lesson by telling the story of Rooney, a boy who did not understand what God is. Please explain the existence of God to the children (this story was created based on the children’s responses obtained in "brainstorming" session of the previous lesson: God – First Cause of all things.
Obs.: In this story we explained that God and Jesus are not "the same person". We said that God wants us to become better people and to always do goodness. Please mention that God forgives us when we make mistakes giving us another chance to get it right, which is important to strive not to miss the new opportunity given. Please also highlight that God has a mission for each of us and that the more we improve, the more we become happier. Emphasize that our first commitment is to God; we love Him above all because He loves us so much and wants us to be happy. Remember the first commandment: Love God above all things and your neighbour as yourself.
Second: propose some activities to the children.
