Opening prayer
First: brainstorming - ask the children what they know about God. Write down the answers in a notebook.
Second: distribute The Spirits’ Book to the children, ask them to find and read question number 1.
1. What is God?
"God is the Supreme Intelligence-First Cause of all things."
Explain the answer to the children:
God is our Father and creator.
Supreme intelligence is equal to supreme power.
First Cause of all things is the origin of everything that exists in the universe.
Third: read the text “Mom’s Answer” from the book ’Jardim da Infância’ from Francisco Cândido Xavier – Brazilian Spiritist Federation. Ask them to listen carefully. The Spiritist teacher could take the text in large print on a poster in order to facilitate the memorization process of the children.
Distribute stickers with pictures of God's creations at the end so that the children can embellish the poster.
Fourth: ask them to write in their notepads - “God is for me…” Get them to illustrate the part of the text they liked best.
Closing prayer
Class suggested being suitable for: 2nd cycle (9 to 10 years old) and 3rd cycle (11 to 12 years old)s.
