Material and Spiritual Belongings for Kindergarten II

         First: Welcome the children into the session. Say how happy we are to see them and how important they are for the class. Explain we will follow the letters of the alphabet in order to choose the volunteer for the opening prayer. So, the child’s name that starts with the letter A will do the opening prayer this time. Everybody will have the chance to collaborate as the weeks passed by.

         After that, the Spiritist worker will introduce the “Raffle Box of Prayers”. In your turn, each child will open the box, choose one prayer and read it out loud for the whole class. We will do it until all children have their chance to choose and read a prayer.

         When the activity with the “Raffle box of Prayers” finishes the volunteer will collect the booklet “The Lord’s Prayer” with the children who was responsible in the previous week.

         The volunteer can ask questions like.

         * What did you like the most in this prayer;

         * What could you learn during the week with the prayer and others

         The Lord’s Prayer booklet

         The children can also read the prayer for his/hers colleagues. Please note another child will be able to choose himself/herself to take the booklet home and bring it back next week.

         P.S. The parents will be informed and also asked about their availability to bring the booklet next week, at the end of the class.

         * Who would share with Jesus here?
         * Who does like sharing?
         * Ask them the last time they shared and how they felt?

         Let’s all now share with Jesus then!

         Third: Activity – doing our own fish.

         The children will create a paper plate fish craft (activity taken from DLTK's Sites)

         After make the fish, the children should stick their work in a big heart shape with a picture of Jesus paced in the middle.

         The volunteer will emphasize that all the children will share his/her fish with Jesus.

Each one will also receive a copy of the prayer. The volunteer will prepare a puzzle activity with an image that represents this prayer, so they can put the pieces together and read the prayer in the end of the activity.

         A Prayer for Difficulty

         Yesterday I watched mummy and daddy seated after dinner when they were reading a pile of papers. I heard mummy saying she was doing the accounts, to pay accounts. That was interesting. Then I heard daddy saying that the situation was difficult again.
         But I see everything easily.
         My dear Jesus, please help daddy to see that everything is easy, like I see it, so he will not be worried about difficulties and can then spend more time with me, mummy and my brother and sisters.
         My dear Jesus, I know that you always protect my family.
         I have already learnt to pray for all of us. I am very happy because I already know how to pray.
         Dear Jesus, I thank you so very much!

         Seventh: Healing Theatre - Prepare the kids for the healing time. The volunteer will bring some instructions of how the children should behave during the healing time. There will be a chair where it will be written “Good Manners” with a picture of Jesus on it. Two children will participate on this activity together. One of them will read the instructions and check if the other child is following the instructions. In the end, the child will give a sticker written “well done” to the other child, and then they will swap places so everyone has a chance to sit on the chair to practice.

         Eighth: Closing prayer - One of the children will do a closing prayer. Explain we will follow the letters of the alphabet in order to choose the volunteer for the closing prayer. So, the child’s name that starts with the letter B will do the opening prayer this time. Everybody will have the chance to collaborate as the weeks passed by.
