Introduction of Spiritist Education

First - Opening prayer: The Spiritist Volunteer will ask one child to read one topic of the “The Lord’s Prayer”. The Spiritist worker will introduce a box of prayer after the prayer and will ask for one child to volunteer himself/herself to read the prayer for the class. Please ask the child to say his/her words as well, as to complement the opening prayer.

Second: Welcome the children into the session. Say how happy we are to see them there and how important they are for the class. Play hot potato game with the children. When the music stops the child who is holding the hot potato ball will be asked to say what they like the most at the Spiritist Centre (their favourite activity, their favourite time, my favourite parable…)

Third: Sing songs together; get the children to remain standing but in a circle.

+++ sing other songs from the songs’ list as per attached here.

+++ please find an additional list of songs attached here.

Fourth: The Spiritist Centre - The volunteer will bring a paper box called Spiritst Centre. The box will be separated by rooms and each one will have a name like:

         Healing Room
         Study room
         Kindergarten Room

The volunteer can also bring pictures of Spiritist Benefactors, Jesus, children, family, people helping each other, healing therapy, etc…

         Topic to be discussed:
         - What is a Spiritist Centre?
         - What do we do here?
         - Why do we come here for?
         - Who would we find here?
         - Is it a school?
         - What does it teach about?
         - What can we learn about?
         - Importance of Jesus’ teaching in our life.

Fifth: Activity - Kids have to draw and colour themselves in a piece of paper which will be attached in a straw or wood stick. After, each child will choose a room to place his/her drawing and also answer why they come to the Spiritist Centre and what they learn there.

Sixth: Power Point Show - The volunteer will prepare a power point show with many pictures of the different activities in our Spiritist Centre.
Seventh: The Volunteer should bring 2 big posters with a few pictures and words. One poster will be called Good Behaviour and the other Bad Behaviour. Each kid will have a turn to stick one picture in each poster and say how they are supposed to behave in the Spiritst Centre.
Eighth: Video about The Parable of the lost Sheep:

Talk about how kind the shepherd was with his lost sheep. Make a comparison with Jesus our Master and how he takes care of all of us.

Ninth: (7:20pm – 7:35pm): Preparation for the healing time.

The Spiritist volunteer will place one chair in the middle of the room. One child will be asked to sit down and show how we should behave during the healing therapy. If he/she behave well one of the colleagues would blow soap bubbles behind he/she. The Spiritist Volunteer will explain that the bubbles mean the good energies sent by the Spirits Benefactors to all of us during the healing therapy. But, we should behave well to deserve it.

Tenth: Closing prayer - One of the children will do a closing prayer; encourage the children to volunteer for this task. If they don’t want to collaborate we could say we will follow the letters of the alphabet. The child’s name that starts with the letter A will do the opening prayer this time. Everybody will have the chance to collaborate.

Homework: "Let the children come to me".

Class suggested being suitable for: Kindergarten (5 to 6 years old).

Spiritist volunteer: Juana Castro, London, linked to The Spiritist Psychological Society.
