First Opening prayer; get the children to repeat after the Spiritist volunteer. As weeks go by the Spiritist volunteers should encourage the children to volunteer for this task. If they don’t want to collaborate we could say we will follow the letters of the alphabet. The child’s name that starts with the letter A will do the opening prayer this time. Everybody will have the chance to collaborate as the weeks unfold. The child’s name that starts with the letter B will do the closing prayer at the end of the session.
Second: Welcome the children into the session. Say how happy we are to see them there and how important they are for the class. Sing songs together; get the children to remain standing but in a circle.
The Wise Man Built His House
The wise man built his house upon the rock
The wise man built his house upon the rock
The wise man built his house upon the rock
And the rain came tumbling down
Oh, the rain came down
And the floods came up
The rain came down
And the floods came up
The rain came down
And the floods came up
And the wise man's house stood firm.
The foolish man built his house upon the sand
The foolish man built his house upon the sand
The foolish man built his house upon the sand
And the rain came tumbling down
Oh, the rain came down
And the floods came up
The rain came down
And the floods came up
The rain came down
And the floods came up
And the foolish man's house went "splat!" [clap hands once]
So, build your house on the Lord Jesus Christ
Build your house on the Lord Jesus Christ
Build your house on the Lord Jesus Christ
And the blessings will come down

Please find relevant Youtube video to be used for this part of the class: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu5bBDRpzPM.
+++ sing other songs from the songs’ list as per attached here.
+++ please find an additional list of songs attached here.
Third: Get the children to sit down into a circle. Tell them the story called The flower called Maggy; attach the ‘characters’ of the story in a piece of cardboard paper as the story is told, in order to keep their attention. Please find some pictures taken from the internet.
Fourth: Ask the children - if they know how fruits are born. Fruit comes from seeds that are planted, giving rise to a tree or a plant that grows. They have many leaves; at the right time, fruit are born.
How are flowers born?
The flowers have scent and fruit have specific smells. The Spiritist volunteer should bring a flower (rose, for example) so that children can feel the scent and can also create opportunities for the children to smell different fruits.
The fruits provide food to humans and animals; flowers beautify the world.
Flowers and fruits were created by God and are an important part of nature.
Fifth: Fruits and flowers game – bring a PowerPoint with pictures of fruits and flowers. Ask the children to say whether it’s a fruit or a flower and if they know which type it is.
Sixth: Different designs of fruits for the children to paint/colour them. Bring stickers so they can decorate their work.
Pineapple
Pear
Strawberry
Orange
Banana
Apple
Plum
Lime
Seventh: Activity - The Spiritist Volunteer will prepare a Plant Life Cycle. See the picture below.
Each kid will receive one of this. The kids will be asked to act throw mimics how a little seed pass throw all the steps of the “Plant Life Cycle” until become a very big tree.
Ask the children:
Do you enjoy eating fruits?
Do you think it’s important to eat fruits? Why so?
What do you think flowers are important for?
Did you notice how different flowers and fruits can be from each other? There are many different types of fruits and flowers as every type is unique, just as we are unique in the eyes of God.
Eighth: Sing the music - My God is so big https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyOdDrVnORc
Ninth: Tell the children The Parable of the Sower. Please see following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ogbEmhltCM.
The worker here created a golden box which let her show the children that parables are just as valuable as gold. She then pulled the characters of the story, as the parable in being told. This is a great technique that managed to grab all children’s attention as they were curious to see what was inside the golden box.
The Parable of the Sower
That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
Tenth: Screen The Parable of the Sower video, taken from ‘The Sower’ – 10 stories Jesus told; parables for kids.
Eleventh: Healing reminder: ask the children how do we need to behave during healing? Listen to their answers.
Twelfth: Get the children to help cleaning the room; one of the children will do a closing prayer; encourage the children to volunteer for this task. If they don’t want to collaborate we could say we will follow the letters of the alphabet. The child’s name that starts with the letter A will do the opening prayer this time. Everybody will have the chance to collaborate.
Please see here below suggested activity to be handed over to the children as homework.
