God’s love and wisdom II

         Opening Prayer

First: please tell the children the story called The minister’s wisdom, which can be found on the site www.momento.com.br. As soon as you finish telling them this story, please mention God is infinite kind. He will never abandon His children. We might at first don’t understand what is going on, but everything happens for the right reasons; for our own good.

Second: please ask the children if any of them get grounded when they do something wrong. Please explain our parents want the best for us; no one is ever grounded for ever. Grounding is a form of punishment given to children or adolescents by their parents (or teachers or headmasters in a school setting) for misbehaviour. It allows us to reflect on our mistakes so we can learn from it. After some time, we will have a new change to make different choices; to do what is right.

This is also what God does to us. He gives us new opportunities to make different choices, to fix our previous mistakes and to make it right this time. These chances could be given on the same reincarnation or on the next one.

Third: Please mention God’s kindness also manifests on its creation. He gave us a beautiful world with trees, rivers, sun and animals, which can help us progress. Please ask them to relax and listen to a pleasant song (it could be sounds from the nature, such as rivers and/or birds). This will enable them to perceive the beauty and perfection of God’s creation. The spiritist teacher, at this point of the class, could use a PowerPoint or pictures with images from the nature (animals, plants and people). You could now make comments about the beauty and perfection of God’s creation.

Observation: we took some of the children’s pictures to class, which was quite importnat for them to identify themselves as God’s creations. After the children listened to the music, we asked them to identify the sounds (water, birds and/or other animals). This then made the children realise the importance and perfection of the physical body.

Fourth: Please ask the children if any one of them can picture the world without the things God created. Can you imagine it without water or nature? Life would not exist.

Fifth: How can each one of us manifest our love for God? We can manifest it by loving and respecting His creation – this includes nature and human beings. Please mention the following examples: don’t pollute the rivers, respect animals, help and respect human beings, etc. You could mention we should start by people who are close to us, such as our family members, our school colleagues, work colleagues, etc.

Sixth - activity: please ask the children to draw one of the works of God or write about some of the things He created. You could perhaps let the children use a different type of material, such as coloured glue or glitter, which would motivate them to work on it. These materials could later on be posted on the room’s wall to make it more colourful.

         Closing Prayer
