Opening Prayer
First: please ask the children how we can feel God in our lives. Please give them some time to answer this question. You should then conclude this task by saying that all creation is involved in God’s love, just like all of us.
Second: please question if they know the following commandment and who taught it to us: "Love God above all Things and love your neighbour as yourself". Please mention it was taught to us by Jesus, who is our guide and model. Please comment on the love Jesus demonstrated to God and to us. He accepted to govern the planet and to incarnate in Earth, even if he is in a more evolved state than us. Please highlight Jesus’ evolution did not take place in this world.
Third: ask them to imagine how we can involve one another fulfilling the commandment taught to us by Jesus. Distribute sheets of paper for them to express their ideas through drawings using the following phrases as the titles for their work. Please divide these titles amongst the children:
- Love-respecting | - Love-working | – Love-collaborating |
- Love-servicing | – Love-forgiving | – Love-listening |
- Love–understanding | – Love–orientating | – Love-praying |
- Love-thinking | – Love–silencing | - Love-talking |
