Law of Preservation

God gave all living creatures the instinct of preservation. For some it’s purely mechanical; for others rational. Life is necessary for the betterment of all beings, even those who do not realize this importance. Our Father has given us the means to survive but, sometimes, we don’t find them due to our lack of initiative.

Earth produces everything that man can enjoy in this world; our soil is an endless source of resources. Everything is transformed, providing everything that is necessary for man, never the superfluous. Due to negligence and ingratitude, man accuses nature due to its own ineptitude and short-sightedness. Man focuses on superfluous to fulfil fantasies and when there is shortage, he is surprised to see how many needs he has got. He still does not know how to regulate his live.

Given the abundance of resources of some people, others lack means for subsistence because of men’s selfishness and negligence. Kardec warns: Nature cannot justly be held responsible for the results of defective social organization, nor for those of personal selfishness and ambition.
