Allan Kardec and the Spiritist Codification I

         Greetings and Opening Prayer

Objective: to know Allan Kardec and its importance to the codification of Spiritism.

         First - suggested activity:
Material: A4 paper, scissors, glue, various grains, newspapers, Popsicle sticks, crayons, ink and other tools that can assist in artistic creation.

Use the article "Timeline - Allan Kardec" as the basis for this activity. The adolescents will have to review its contents and express it differently.

Click here to find this article.

Give the adolescents the opportunity to make a summary of the information they read on the article and build a poster using the materials mentioned above. Ask each of them to choose one of the events and come up with a creative way of describing it. They should mention the year of the event they chose to describe on the poster so the reader can go back in time. It’s important that each adolescent signs his/her work (poster).

Second: after all adolescents completed their posters, set up a timeline. Ask the young group to choose a name for this combined work.

Note: The time for this work is of approximately one hour for an average of 14 adolescents. If this can’t be finished on time, perhaps it’s best to finish this class on the following meeting.

Conclusion: Open a discussion where every young person comments on his/her work if this class follows from the previous meeting (Allan Kardec and the Spiritist Codification I). Ask them to expose the most important facts of that period; leave room for comments and questions that might come from other adolescents.

         Closing Prayer
