Existence and Survival of the Spirit

         Greetings and Opening Prayer

         Objective: To recognize the Existence and Survival of the Spirit through the proposed group work.

         Suggested group dynamic: The spiritist teacher will propose the following riddle at the start of the group dynamic:
         "We will have ten minutes to justify that spirits exist, if we can prove it. (This is the 1st paragraph of the puzzle)
         Look around you, look around the place. For those who do not look around, once the time runs out you will find out."(This is the 2nd paragraph of the puzzle)
         Split the group into small teams in accordance with the number of young people. Give them 10 minutes to seek evidence.

         Important Notes:
         a) The time for the group dynamic can vary depending on the time available for this class;
         b) Psychographic works will be accepted as evidence (which may be arranged randomly around the room); as well as knowledge grounded in real cases of past life memories (first paragraph of the puzzle) and also example of logical-deductive reasoning (e.g. it can be found in Genesis, Ch. XI, Item I). This example is the solution of the second paragraph of the puzzle.

         Once their time is over, get them to present the evidence and justify their points of view. Discuss the subject matter with them, having the bibliography below as the basis.

         Conclusion: perform an activity with them in order to encourage in-depth study of the subject. The activity consists of getting them to work on the same teams; ask them the following: "Each team will have to observe the spiritist centre (building where’s it is located) from a different angle."

         Example: Team "A" will have two minutes to observe the front of the spiritist centre (building where’s it is located). Team "B" will have four minutes to watch the left side of the spiritist centre (building). Once they make the necessary observations, they must return to large group. The spiritist teacher will question on what was observed by the team.
         The conclusion must be that the more time we devote to study, the greater our understanding will be. Knowledge only provides a partial view of the whole. In relation to the proposed topic in class (Existence and Survival of the Spirit) as well as Spiritism we conclude that: The more we know, the better be our understanding will be.

         Closing Prayer:
