Drugs II

         Greetings and Opening prayer

First: distributing to the young group news clippings related to drugs and ask them to comment on these news, saying what drugs mean to each of them and to society.

Note: the spiritist teacher should have read the news in advance and make any additional comments, when necessary.

Second: talk about drugs, noting that the best approach is not to try. If people insist for them to use drugs, they should be firm. They know drugs are bad for the body and spirit.

Third: presenting a PPT or other material that addresses drugs and its consequences.

Fourth: talk about fraternal support - a self-help group for addicts who want to free themselves from the use of any licit or illicit chemical substance abuse, as well as assistance to relatives and friends of addicts. The spiritist teacher could speak/cite other self-help groups, as well as indicate the site FRATERNAL ASSISTANCE, for those who want to learn more about the subject.

Fifth: remind that the one who is addicted to alcohol and other drugs becomes an instrument of inferior and/or addicted spirits who take drugs through the incarnate spirits. They can also encourage (through mental suggestions) the incarnate spirit to continue to get high, so the disincarnate can continue enjoying the fluids as well. This influence is due to the mental tuning and often happens because the disincarnate spirit seeks revenge. Drugs are a powerful means of compromise/destruct an incarnation.

Sixth: who uses drugs commits indirect suicide, due to bad use of his/her physical body. He/she will respond after disincarnated for the use/abuse during the corporeal existence. Whoever disincarnates addicted to drugs, will still look for drugs in the spiritual world, obsessing incarnated spirits to support their addictions. That is until the spirit realizes his wrong attitudes, repents and decides to redeem his mistakes through a new and difficult incarnation in the physical body.

Seventh: show them excerpts from the Book: Diary of a Drug Addict by Gorete Newton. This book tells the story of the Spirit Andre K who lived in Zurich, Switzerland. He describes his tragic death by drug overdose and his experience in the spiritual world.

Comment on the disincarnation of the Spirit Andre K, sending him loving vibrations for having the courage to share his experience with us.

Eighth: another option would be to print out copies of the material taken from the site TeensHealth, which provides facts on some of the more common drugs. The spiritist teacher could ask the youth to work on pairs/trios and give facts from one drug to each group so they can read it and comment about it. Once they have finished commenting on it, they should all come back to the larger group and share what they have learned. Comment on the disincarnation of Spirits who are addicted to drugs as well as how their family members must be affected by these actions/consequences.
