God, spirit and matter

         Greetings and Opening Prayer

First: bring one envelope for each student to this class. Please write the following outside each envelope:

"God, spirit and matter: general elements of the universe."

Write what you know or understand by:

         God______________________________________

         Spirit___________________________________

         Matter___________________________________

Wait a few minutes for everyone to write their answers. The spiritist teacher should then ask them to open the envelope and verify if their answers were correct. Give each one the opportunity to comment on their answers, both correct as well as incorrect ones.

Write the following text inside the envelope (please bring these materials ready previous to starting this lesson):

God, spirit and matter: general elements of the universe.
We know that we were created by God, simple and ignorant. Our Father, in his great wisdom and kindness, provided an opportunity for us to evolve spiritually.
We have a physical body in this earthly life. Our body is born, grows, gets old and dies, serving as an instrument for us to execute our activities on Earth. The physical body, the animals and the plants need Vital Fluid for the material life. The Vital Fluid is the transformation of the Universal Cosmic Fluid which gives rise to everything in the material world. The Universal Cosmic Fluid is created by God and surrounds the universe.

Resources for the Spiritist Teacher: The Spirits’ Book, questions 01, 17, 21, 22, 23 and 27.

Second: Group technique - Each young person should produce a sentence related to the subject of the lesson, which can be a true or a false one. The spiritist teacher could make books or texts available for research at this time. Once this is finished, the group will then sit in a circle; one will be sat in the middle, blindfolded. The group who is sat in the circle will move to different spots silently. The young person who is blindfolded should point to someone else, who will then tell his/her sentence to the person who is in the middle of the circle. The blindfolded person will then say whether the statement is true or false. If he/she is wrong, he/she will leave the circle and be left out of the game. If blindfolded person is right, this person will join the circle sitting next to the others. The person who said the phrase will then go to the middle of the circle and be blindfolded. This should then continue up until all sentences are read.

         Closing Prayer
