Self-knowledge III


         Greetings and Opening Prayer

         First: Give a copy of the following questionnaire to each adolescent.

         1 - DDo we all have the ability to feel the influence of Spirits?
         (     ) yes (     ) no - Why? __________________________

         2 - Do you believe in reincarnation?
         (     ) yes (     ) no - Why? __________________________

         3 - Given the greatness of the Universe, the Divine wisdom and perfection, do you know if there is life on other worlds?
         (     ) yes (     ) no - Why? __________________________

         4 – Can we prove God’s existence?
         (     ) yes (     ) no - Why? __________________________

         5 - According to Spiritism, each one of us has a guardian angel (protector spirit). Do you believe this is true?
         (     ) yes (     ) no - Why? __________________________

         Note: the purpose of this questionnaire is that the young people describe what they really believe; not what they heard or learned that "Spiritism says." It’s also a good tool to survey their knowledge. The spiritist teacher will also be able to find out if there are any doubts that could arise from the questionnaire. This will help him/her to come up with the next upcoming lesson. It’s essential to comment on these issues, valuing and respecting the views of the each of the members of the group.

         Second - Knot technique: all adolescents will sit in a big circle and look carefully at who is by their side. Each one should memorise who is on their right and who is on their left side. Get them to undo the circle and walk around the room while a song is being played. When the music stops, everyone must stop at the place where they were. They must try to give their left hand to the colleague who was on their left and the right hand to the colleague who was their on the right. They will end up in a large knot. The young group will have to undo the knot and think collectively on how they can do that.

         Third: to reflect on cooperation, on the importance of the groups we belong to and that we should always seek ways to solve problems together, based on the knot technique.
