Self-knowledge and self-acceptance

         Greetings and Opening Prayer

         First: distribute a blank sheet of paper to each young person. Ask them to fold in half; so it looks like a book.

         Second: explain what a passport is (an official document that serves as identification).

         Third: get each of them to prepare their own individual passport. Everyone should create their own passport, but make sure the steps are explained slowly, as the group completes the previous task.

         1st sheet: passport cover; the young person should place here the way he/she sees him/herself: a picture of him/herself or a figure to represent him/her;

         2nd sheet: place name, age, parents’ name as well as their physical characteristics (weight, height, eye and hair colour, etc.) and spiritual characteristics (which he/she likes to do and what he/she doesn’t like);

         3rd sheet: ask each of them to write how he/she thinks others see him/her, or what other people think and value in the person who owns the passport;

         4th sheet: ask each of them to describe the qualities that he/she has (there should be many, because we all have many qualities). If someone doesn’t know, advise them to ask their colleagues for help.

         Fourth: every young person should explain their passport to the other colleagues. The class aims to make each young person to think about themselves and find out that each of them have many qualities; promoting self-knowledge and self-acceptance.
